Time : Dikir barat style :P

They were doing mathematics activity in the class (Year 1 = 7 years old). They were saying the name of days and months. At the end they do an action of paying attention to the teacher :)

I dont really do video in the class because I prefer taking photos. Let see what happen and maybe I should think about it in the future.

p/s: feeling a bit better :)

the power of doing :D

If you think that you want to do something, and it is good but maybe something out from your usual, I think you don't need to waste your time to think. I say: GO! DO IT! NOW!

If you start to think about what other people want to say to you, it will never end. People will always find something to comment about anything. When you start to listen to all of this, you will start to have doubt in your mind and maybe you will change your mind and will not doing it anymore!

I believe in doing! When you do it, that means you have the output while if you just keep it in your mind, nobody will ever care! I do have the same problem actually. I think it is our normal mind to always think what people want to say about things that we do. But, my believe in doing is much much powerful that can ignore the negative mind! If I keep thinking about my English ability, I will never write it in English.... :P (I am trying so hard to make it better, but I choose to do it first). Can you imagine, If I just start write in english tomorrow, will I have this much entries in English?

As long as you believe in doing, you want to it, you really really want to do it... go do it! Just do it!

p/s: the picture is the book that I gave to the Prime Minister. I will tell a story behind it soon :D

sharing the joy!

Today I went to school after a while been away and luckily I did not forget the location yet :P haha... As per usual, at about 7 in the morning, I started my journey to school while singing to my favourite song (cannot tell the favourite song :P too personal...haha)

When I arrived, I parked my car in front of the hostel building and then the bell rang! Quite perfectly in time :P hahaha....so the pupils started to gather at the assembly court. Some group of pupils looked at me like I'm a stranger... What, you guys already forgot your teacher? :P Some of them keep looking at the notice board and then looked at me, looked at the board and then looked at me. That made me wonder what they were looking at. Oh, there was a frame with my pictures and a news paper cutting hanging in a frame! Wow! What a surprise! :D

I brought the trophy and the the certificate to the school to share it with my pupils and the other teachers. :) I put the traphy and certificate in one room and then started to bring the kids there. It was fun to share the happiness together with everybody.

I think by sharing this success with them, I hope that I can encourage them to be much more motivated. I want them to know that it is better to try than just sit down doing nothing. Try, try and try!

Before the kids enter the room, I asked them to close their eyes. I told them that I'm going to do a magic trick. I hold the trophy and then I count for 3 and then I switch on the light. The kids were happy. hahaha... This magic trick just work to the level one :P hahaha.... Too easy to figure out for level 2. So bad me!

Before the school sesion end for today, we manage to take a group photo. Thank you everybody for celebrating the success! Let be grateful and wish for the best for everyone!

p/s: I want a lazy Saturday!

Blog + Book = Blook

Ok, while having this sweet Nescafe in Food court in KL Central, I think I better write down a few things about the book of Life through my eyes. I think some people may get confuse about it. So here is just a short explanation about it.

Life through my eyes: A teacher's little steps towards perfection is an edited version of blog Life through my eyes: I'm not a perfect person, but I move towards it (http://www.apistakkisah.blogspot.com/).

So, this book (or u can say a blook maybe) is not just focusing on mathematics activities only but it is about a development of a new teacher in a new school start his journey in education field in a rural area.

The book is a story of one year starting from January to December and you can see so many types of writing in the book. Sometimes there will be about motivation, sometimes just a life experience, sometimes there will be reflection of teaching and learning mathematics, sometimes poems, and many others :)

I'm sorry to just talk about my book too much...haha...I guess it just the passion. You can find the book in MPH book stores. This book is published by MPH and UCSI Publishing House. I think if you read this, you better go grab one :P haha (promoting the book myself)

I'm a teacher, I'm a blogger and now I'm a book writer!

p/s: You never know unless you try! ;)

Thank you to everyone that keep coming visiting this blog :) I'm sorry that my blog is so simple. I'm sorry that my English is just simple and always comes with lots of grammar mistakes. But I believe in what I'm doing and I do what I believe :)

It will open more eyes, it will grow much more motivation and it will inspire more hearts!

3 bad things in 1 day :D

Ok before I go to sleep I think I better share this 3 bad things that happen to me today. I'm not going to go deeply on why it's happening in each event but I just want to share the main thing that I learnt from them...

First, I was in a bus from Kuala Terengganu to Alor Setar last night. But when I woke up, I just realized that I ended up in Butterworth. Egh... I just noticed that I never buy a correct bus ticket!

Second, after my parent and I arrived in Sungai Siput, Perak, we decided to take a bus to go to Ipoh train station. Suddenly the bus was late. Then, we stucked in a bad traffic jam in Ipoh and we missed out 4p.m train! But we managed to get another one at 6:15 p.m. Just for your information, we are on our way to KL because tomorrow we will attande the APICTA award ceremony in KL Hilton ;)

Third, after I bought the new ticket to go to Kl, I decided to have a drinks with my mom and dad in the restaurant in the train station. While smiling happily, drink a bit my tea 'O' ice, I decided to open my laptop. Accidentally with so much embarass I spilled my tea 'O' on the table....

HAHAHAHAHA

So now, I can decided to be so sad or to be glad and move on with this. And guess what? I think after a bit of sad I decided to take this as a good thing. I decided to look it as a good way to reflect my journey. Yep, maybe after great things happened to me this few weeks make me forget how difficult the journey was. So, this is like a reminder to me to always remeber that in a journey towards anything that you want in life, there will always be obstacles waiting for you! So just be ready!!!

p/s: I hope tomorrow will be another learning experience :)

waiting for the moon

I'm just sitting doing nothing much this late afternoon, waiting for the night to bring the moon together. Today was a great day. I shared some of my experience with some university students. It was great time and great experience!

These few weeks were so different. I never thought that things will be different. This blog has make so many changes and so many achievements too. I am so glad that my ideas, opinions and feelings been valued by others... thank you so much.

However, I also face lots of dramas and challenges towards the journey and I do believe that there will be a lot more challenges ahead. I think that is normal when you want to go somewhere or you want to get something... even if you are in a car and want to go to a destination, you need to fill the tank with petrol, sometimes your car broken, the tyre flat or you lost the way... that is the challenges that you face. It will be the same in the journey of life!

You will find a lot of people supporting you but maybe in the same time you will find out that some people will try to find faults and see you failed... My advise: Stay strong and be nice to people!. Let them be bad to you but you do not have be bad to them :) It is difficult but it is better... You know what? it's not worth at all to be the same kind like them... ;) hahaha.... Whatever... :P

I am not a perfect person...but I try to move towards it! yep...that is what we are...just a normal human being...

I am so grateful with everything that happened and I hope it will never change me and forget who am I and where I come from...InsyaAllah...

p/s: meeting with BPG in Brisdale Hotel tomorrow...Thank you for inviting me... Another great experience ahead!

We got the reply!

At last I can write something here. Life is a bit different now but it is great! While busy eating here, I think I should write something. If you still remember Olive and Clay in previous entry, I have some update about it.

After a while sent the cards to them, we already got reply from them! What a great things! So, I brought it to the school and shared it with the year 6 kids. They were so happy and so excited about it.

We plan to send another cards to Olive and Clay but I am so not sure if we will have time for that before school holidays. Plus, this is the last year for year 6 to be here, so maybe I need to start doing it with another year. For year 6, I know they will fo it by themselves starting next year ;) If they can easily have access to post office thingy...

I really think that this kind of activity can give them some idea about sending letters and receiving it. Giving them idea about post office, postman and stamps! I want them not to just listen about it but I want them to experience about it! It's learning! And it is fun!

p/s: 1 week and few days away from school...

The trip to KL: Recap

I know I already write something about the trip to KL before but I think I just want to do some more review about what happened...especially when I was there with them. So early in the morning, everybody were ready to go, the headmaster gave some advise, they packed all the stuff in the bus, everybody in the school were waiting to witness the departure of the bus...and so it's happened... :)

During the journey, after a while some pupils started to get bus sickness. Some of the kids started to vomit. Maybe some of them just having a new experience travel far away by bus in a day light. Some of them cannot stand that the bus is quipped with air contioner where they prefer to have the wind from nature. We stopped at tapah, everybody went out to get some fresh air. Then we started the journey again, eat, drink, eat apples, sleep (some of them maybe inclucing me :P ) and this time nobody get sick anymore... fuhhh...

Suddenly when we got to Jalan Duta, the pupils started to make noise. They were so excited to see the tall buildings around the road... I am so excited too to see they excited :) It was a nice moments to see they were happy...

Then, we arrived at UCSI University, have a BIG lunch, then we - chat chat, walk, walk, looking this, looking that, see this, see that, experiace this, experience that... It was a very nice welcome from UCSI University. I think everybody happy that afternoon... Especially when we were hanging around at the pool, I can see some of the kids were so eager to jump and swim...but next time maybe...it's fine, you guys have a beautiful river in the village ok...go jump there :P and yes, especially you Safuan!

Then, we went to Aquaria... Look at the fish, scream at the shark, playing in the tunnel, eww at the small crocodile (I guess), amazed with the big aquarium, playing with the touch screen stuff and laughing, giggling, taking photos and many more. Another great time...

Then, we go out and have a walk at the park, sight seeing aroundthere, the kids playing at the playground, having rest in front of KLCC and appreciate the beauty... We spend quite a long time there before they headed to the hotel.

One great thing about these kids are that they were so well behave and so easy to control... Maybe they know they were far away from home, so they listen carefully to all the advise given to them. I am so proud to see them and I am so happy that I can share the moment with them... :)

p/s: try to consider things around me as much as I can :) Hope everything will going well :)
